What you get

Built for brokers and agents — not generic CRM busywork.

Car and bike on one client

Attach four-wheeler and two-wheeler policies to the same person. Household fleets stop living in separate sheets.

Seasonal renewals sorted

Motor books bunch. Overdue, due today, and upcoming appear on one board instead of a December calendar scramble.

Morning renewal habit

Open the list before you dial. The CRM sorts urgency; you decide who gets the first call.

WhatsApp from your number

One tap opens a pre-filled chat from your phone. You send it. It is not WhatsApp Business API broadcasting.

Policy PDFs on the record

Store schedule copies and KYC against the client. File storage only — not OCR that invents fields from photos.

Phone-first PWA

Add InsuredBoard to your home screen. Work renewals between meetings without a Play Store app.

What a motor insurance agent CRM should do

Motor insurance in India renews on hard calendar dates. Miss the window and the client drives uninsured — or buys from whoever called first. The job of a motor insurance agent CRM is not to underwrite the risk. It is to put every car and bike you already service on one board, sorted by when the premium is due, so follow-up happens while there is still time to renew.

Most agents still run that board in Excel: one sheet for four-wheelers, another for two-wheelers, a third for "urgent this week." When December and March hit, the same fortnight can hold dozens of expiries. A filtered spreadsheet does not tell you who is overdue versus who is due tomorrow. A dedicated renewal list does.

InsuredBoard is built for that habit. You add the clients you service. You attach each motor policy with premium and due date. You open overdue and due-today every morning. When it is time to message, you open WhatsApp from the policy card with a pre-filled note — from your own number, as a normal chat you send yourself.

Why motor books break in spreadsheets

Motor volume is seasonal. Fleet clients add multiple vehicles under one relationship. A husband's car, a wife's scooter, and a commercial pickup can all renew in different months — or the same week. Spreadsheets force you to choose: sort by name and lose the date, or sort by date and lose the household. The CRM keeps the person as the hub and every vehicle policy as a child line with its own due date.

Registration numbers, IDV notes, and insurer names belong on the policy card as fields you type. They are not pulled from a government vehicle database. If another product markets Vahan lookup as the core feature, that is a different job. InsuredBoard assumes you already know the vehicles you sold.

Documents matter at claim time and at renewal. Store the schedule PDF and KYC against the client so you are not hunting WhatsApp media folders six months later. That is file storage. It is not optical character recognition that invents policy fields from a photo of a policy copy.

What this page is not

  • Not an insurer motor portal for proposals, endorsements, or live commission.
  • Not Vahan / RC lookup and not photo-to-policy OCR.
  • Not WhatsApp Business API bulk campaigns or SMS gateways.
  • Not a live commission ledger — use the commission calculator for estimates.

Car vs bike: same habit, different calendars

Two-wheeler policies often renew at lower premiums and higher lapse risk — clients forget until the next challan scare. Four-wheeler clients may shop every year. Your CRM should not care which line pays more. It should surface both when they are due. Tag the policy type so you know what you are renewing, then work the list by urgency.

When the same household also holds health or life through you, put those policies on the same client. Motor portals will not show a Star Health due date. Your morning board should. That is the difference between a single-line portal and an agent CRM for the book you actually service.

Daily workflow for motor renewals

Start the day on the renewal board. Call or WhatsApp overdue first — those clients are already past the clean renewal window. Then due today. Then this week. Keep notes on the client after each conversation so the next follow-up is not a cold restart. If a client renews elsewhere, mark the policy so it stops cluttering the active list. Persistency for motor is different from life, but the habit is the same: see the date, act, record the outcome.

One tap on the policy opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message. You review it, you send it, the chat sits in your personal WhatsApp history. That is intentional. Bulk Business API broadcasting is a different product category with different compliance and cost. InsuredBoard is built for agents who already message clients from their phone and need the CRM to stop the copy-paste from Excel.

Pricing for a motor book

Try 7 days with up to 75 active policies and unlimited clients. Then Starter at ₹199/mo (150 policies, 5 agents, CSV import), Pro at ₹699/mo, or Business at ₹1,299/mo. All INR. CSV import is paid-only — use the trial to prove the list on live motor clients before you migrate the whole sheet. See pricing for seat limits.

Commission still comes from each general insurer. Use the commission calculator to estimate first-year versus renewal — it is not a ledger inside the CRM. For mixed motor and health books, also see the general insurance agent CRM page.

Who this motor CRM is for

Solo motor agents who renew dozens of cars and bikes a month. Small agencies where multiple agents share a motor book and need seats. POSP sellers whose motor lines sit next to life and health on the same households. It is not for underwriters, not for insurer call centres, and not for agents whose only need is a portal login they already have.

If your pain is "I cannot see which bike expires this fortnight," this page is the product. If your pain is "I need OCR to scan every RC," read the honest comparison on how InsuredBoard differs from OCR-first tools — and decide whether the renewal habit or the scan feature is the job you are buying.

Commercial vehicles and household fleets

Some books mix private cars with commercial pickups or small fleets under one relationship. Treat each vehicle policy as its own line with its own due date even when the decision-maker is the same person. Fleet renewals often move together; the board still helps when one registration slips out of sync after an endorsement or sale. Keep registration notes on the policy card so you can confirm which unit you are discussing without opening a second app.

When a client sells a vehicle, update status so the expiry stops cluttering overdue. Ghost policies are how agents lose faith in their own list. A CRM only earns trust when the top of the board matches reality you would defend in front of the client.

FAQ

Questions agents ask

Is InsuredBoard a motor insurance agent CRM?+

Yes. It is built for agents who service car and bike policies: client records, due dates, documents, and a renewal list you work daily. It is not an insurer portal and not a Vahan RC lookup tool.

Can I track two-wheeler and four-wheeler together?+

Yes. Attach each motor policy to the client with type, premium, and due date. The renewal board sorts by date across the whole book.

Does InsuredBoard look up vehicle details from Vahan?+

No. There is no Vahan or RC API. You enter the details you already have from the proposal or policy copy.

Is WhatsApp automated for motor renewals?+

One tap opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message from your phone. It is not bulk Business API sending and not SMS.

Can I import my motor Excel book?+

CSV import is on paid plans. Use the 7-day trial (75 active policies) to prove the renewal habit on a live sample first.

Does this show motor commission?+

No. Commission statements stay with the insurer. Estimate payouts with the commission calculator — it is not a live ledger inside the CRM.
